KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor was briefed yesterday on the Youth and Sports Ministry’s plans to upgrade sports facilities in the state including the Likas Stadium.
Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Ellron Alfred Angin also briefed the Chief Minister on the Sabah Sports Board’s activities as well as the progress of ongoing projects such as the Tuaran Sports Complex.
The Likas Stadium is up for upgrading to conform to the stipulated standard of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) since Sabah FC would be competing in the AFC Cup tournament this season.
Accompanying Ellron were Permanent Secretary Datuk Mansur Asun and senior officials from the Sabah Sports Board.
